The 15th annual Goldvein Jubilee: Still going strong!!
Even though there was threatening weather on the way, around 400 people stopped by to pan for gold, bid on a silent auction item, listen to some amazing performers, try a homemade corn dog or BBQ, jump on the moon bounce, take a ride on a pony or on Justin (the biggest horse you have ever seen!) or play in the corn box.
The department would like to thank the members of the Friends of Monroe Park for all their time and effort in making the Jubilee a continuing success!! A special Thank You to the members of the Cub Scout Troop 1187, Jimmie Eustace, the Northern Virginia Gold Prospectors, the Southern Fauquier Historical Society, the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District, Camp Camellia, the Virginia Department of Forestry, the Goldvein and Lois Volunteer Fire Departments, and all our other volunteers for making this year’s Jubilee a great event. We also would like to especially thank the Fauquier Community Band, Sydney Ritchie, and Bryan Jacobs and friends for providing a great day of music.
We would also like to recognize all the local businesses and individuals who donated items for the silent auction and game prizes:
